This work stems from the interplay between the industrial history of the Vaartkom and the contemporary use of living space. Metal window frames and stretched fabrics together create a field of tension between the robust and the fragile, the permanent and the changeable. Reflections and shadows respond to the public space and invite dialogue with their surroundings.

The process of deconstructing, constructing, and experimenting is, for me, a form of wandering; a continuous search for balance between materiality, light, and shadow. Sunlight and weather conditions distort and activate the fabric. It functions as a visible archive of time, ongoing transformation, and memory.
