Window of Fading Boundaries, April 2024
Blikkenwerpers 2025 expo
The physical boundary of the window frame in her new home facing the street became the starting point; its dimensions determined the frames. But the work extends beyond these physical boundaries—it invites reflection on the limits we set and those we cross.
This work plays with that perception. The transparent canvas creates a dialogue between interior and exterior space while simultaneously revealing the construction of the work itself, where construction and deconstruction merge.
The setting and fading of boundaries happen simultaneously, much like the natural and human rhythms that mark the transition from day to night. The evening primrose blooming at dusk and the lowering of shutters symbolize this tension—a moment of opening up, but also a moment where boundaries can emerge.
